Sapori United Association

This association was founded in 2012 by a group of people interested in the area of Friuli’s low plains, for various reasons. It first began work in 2015, based on the idea of “Marano from another point of view”, i.e. a modern view of including the lagoon in a vast area to the north, between Villa Manin, the river Stella, the line of the springs, the lowland woods, Palmanova and Aquileia, trying to promote local businesses, companies, traditions, food, wine and culture. A step beyond the historical-geographic and tourist profile, with the beach of Lignano.

In addition to directly organising and partnering with others on cultural, musical, food and wine events, Sapori United also produces a special one-off magazine called “Lagunamagazinefvg” when the seasons change, which tells the story of the local area and its variations, covering also Muggia, Istria and Grado, with which Marano shares its lagoon.
